Our story

Founded in 2022 by Kenneth Leivan, Pacific Sunrise Tax Services was built on a simple belief: tax preparation should be personal, professional, and stress-free.

Kenny saw too many clients getting lost in the shuffle, passed between staff, given cookie-cutter advice, and treated like numbers instead of people. He founded Pacific Sunrise to do things differently.

Today, we serve more than 350 active clients, each receiving the same personalized attention and expert review. No matter how simple or complex your situation, you work directly with Kenny, a licensed California CPA with over 10 years of experience.

Kenneth Leivan, CPA

Principal and founder

Kenny earned his CPA license in California and has been practicing since 2014. He has prepared over 4,000 individual and business returns, covering everything from straightforward W-2 returns to complex multi-state corporations.

Operations and client relations

Drew ensures every client receives accurate, timely service and clear communication throughout the tax preparation process. His technical aptitude and systematic approach to document management keeps projects organized and on schedule.

Experience

Drew has been with Pacific Sunrise for three tax seasons, preparing hundreds of returns under Kenny's direct supervision and review. His practical expertise in tax software, bookkeeping systems, and client workflow has been instrumental in maintaining quality service as the firm has grown.

Outside the office

Besides being Kenny's younger brother, Drew enjoys pottery on the weekends, where he is building an impressive collection of vases, plates, and other home decor.
